Launch Alaska is pioneering a path toward a sustainable future by accelerating the deployment of transformative technologies that combat climate change. Based in Alaska, we focus on innovative solutions to decarbonize, supporting our mission to lead global efforts in creating a more sustainable environment. Our team blends local expertise with strategic partnerships to deliver impactful projects that promote economic diversification and community engagement in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Mission
Launch Alaska’s mission is to accelerate Alaska’s energy transition, providing the world’s first example of an energy-intensive, fossil fuel-based, industrialized economy that transitions away from fossil fuels at a pace and scale consistent with the emissions targets set by the United Nations under the Paris Accords.
Strategy
Launch Alaska’s strategy is focused on 4 Ps: People, Partnerships, Projects and Policy. We put the right people in a room to form lasting partnerships, catalyze projects, and inform state and local policy – creating a powerful engine that drives systems change, environmental justice and economic growth.
How We Work
Our flagship program, Tech Deployment Track, is an eight-month accelerator program designed to help companies forge partnerships and identify projects in Alaska. Successful program graduates are invited to join the Launch Alaska Portfolio; the 41 companies in our portfolio include some of the planet’s most promising innovators working to decarbonize energy, transportation and industrial systems.

We conduct rigorous techno-economic analyses to evaluate the feasibility and scalability of clean technology solutions. By combining technical assessments with economic analysis, we identify viable pathways for implementation that maximize both environmental and financial returns. Our analyses help stakeholders understand the potential impacts of proposed technologies, allowing for informed decision-making and strategic investment in decarbonization initiatives. We offer project development services, strategic opportunity evaluation, and vulnerability assessments.
