Ampaire Acquires Talyn Air

Hybrid electric aircraft system developer Ampaire Inc., a member of the Launch Alaska Portfolio, has acquired Talyn Air Inc., the companies announced via press release July 20.

Talyn Air develops novel electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft systems, and the transaction helps Ampaire expand into adjacent defense, drone, and eVTOL markets, according to the company. The acquisition also allows Ampaire to broaden its intellectual property and contracts portfolio with additional patents and government contracts, the company announced.

A leader in aviation electrification, Ampaire is a graduate of Launch Alaska’s 2020-2021 Tech Deployment Track; Talyn Air participated in the 2022 Tech Deployment Track cohort. Click here to read more.
